The long-awaited Protected Disclosures (Protection of Whistleblowers) Act 2022 came into force on 1 July 2022, repealing and replacing the Protected Disclosures Act 2000. It is timely for lawyers advising in this area to get up to speed with key changes and any implications for their clients, including a review of workplace policies and procedures around protected disclosures.
