Emma Priest

Description

Emma Priest graduated with a BA (psyc) LLB and an LLM (1st Class) from Auckland University. She was admitted to the Bar in 1999 and is a criminal barrister at Blackstone Chambers in Auckland. Emma is co-convener of the ADLS Parole Law committee and is a member of the the ADLS Criminal Law committee. Emma is on the NZBA Criminal Law committee and presents at NZLS stepping up, litigation skills and how to run a jury trial workshops. Outside of core practice, Emma is a non-executive Board director for Variety NZ. She co-founded The Good Lawyer, a not-for-profit which provides shirts and books to prisoners. Emma has a passion for penal reform, prisoner's rights and criminal justice issues. She also loves forensic science in the Courtroom and evidence law.
