Helen leads the PwC Legal tax practice in New Zealand, and co-leads the PwC NZ Global Tax team. Helen advises clients on all aspects of New Zealand tax, with focus areas including commercial and residential property investment, tax disputes, cross-border investment, structuring and capital raising. She has a large range of clients, including corporate groups, managed funds and high net worth family groups.
Helen is passionate about advising her clients on tax matters based on an understanding of their commercial objectives. She is also interested in tax policy. She is well connected to the Inland Revenue tax policy team, and has worked closely with them on many recent changes to the NZ tax system. She is also a member of the New Zealand Law Society Tax Law Committee, and regularly presents at industry seminars.
Before joining PwC Legal, Helen worked at top tier law firms in New Zealand and London.
