Dr Alexandra Allen-Franks (LLB(hons), LLM, PhD) has taught the law of evidence, introduction to criminal law, introduction to the New Zealand Bill of Rights Act 1990 and trade mark law at the University of Auckland. She holds a Royal Society Te Apārangi Tāwhia Te Mana Research Fellowship for a project concerning admissibility of improperly obtained evidence. Prior to taking up her role at UoA, Alex worked as a High Court Judges’ Clerk, practised law in New Zealand and England, and taught Criminal Procedure and Evidence at the University of Cambridge.
