Mike has over 25 years of financial advisory experience and was previously a partner with KPMG. He now runs his own practice Nautilus Consulting and acts on matters involving shareholder disputes, contractual disputes, relationship property, trust disputes, regulatory matters (for both regulators and corporates) and other contentious matters where quantum needs to be determined. His work often involves valuation and the assessment of financial losses. Mike also undertakes investigations involving fraud and financial crime.
He has provided expert evidence for the courts and in other dispute resolution forums such as arbitration, mediation and expert determinations both in NZ and overseas. Mike is a recommended Expert Forensic Accountant and Investigator by Lexology Index and is an accredited Forensic Accounting Specialist from Macquarie University. Mike is a Chartered Accountant and holds a Public Practice Certificate. He is also a member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.
