Description

Miram is a King’s Counsel, independent director, reviewer and facilitator. Described by Chambers and Partners as a “female litigator with a fantastic commercial litigation record”. Miriam has a passion helping female lawyers lead their careers. She has a number of firsts to her name: the first female partner at law firm Russell McVeagh and the first female president of the New Zealand Bar Association. She is currently chair of the Banking Ombudsman Scheme and a director of Chorus Ltd and Rau Paenga Ltd (Crown Infrastructure Delivery). Recent reviews include the Government’s Electricity Pricing Review and Auckland Councils review of its council-controlled organisations. She was made a Companion of the Hew Zealand Order of Merit in 2013 for services to law and business.
