Thomas is a property and land development lawyer, whose work traverses unit titles, technical easement and covenant advice, subdivisions and land development projects, expert opinions, and local government issues. He is currently lead drafter of the REINZ/ADLS Agreement for Sale and Purchase of Real Estate, and has appeared as an expert witness in the High Court on property matters. Thomas is a Fellow of the Australian College of Strata Lawyers, author of Unit Titles Law and Practice (2nd ed, 2015), and co-author of Subdivisions Law and Practice (2024).
