Becky is a lawyer and registered patent attorney. She worked at a leading IP firm in Wellington before heading to work in Australia and Singapore both in private practice and in in-house IP counsel roles. She returned to New Zealand in 2017, bringing the international experience and perspective to IP roles in the private sector and government. Currently, she heads the IP Asset Strategy team at Fonterra.
Becky is a strategic leader in global intellectual property matters and a regular speaker on international IP matters, as well as having taught a number of IP courses for the World Intellectual Property Office headquartered in Geneva. She is also a people-centric leader, focusing on creating work environments that develops people and fosters success.
