Stress and Litigation: Handling Challenging Situations for Clients and Lawyers (Live Stream)

Litigation is inherently stressful. For clients, this stress may arise from various factors, including the issues at stake, the emotions involved, the potential for publicity or gossip, the lengthy process, and the associated costs. For lawyers, these challenges can complicate their role as they strive to do their best for the client, maintain their independence, and adhere to ethical responsibilities. Additionally, lawyers often face various challenging situations in court, which further adds to the complexity and demands of their profession.

Using real-life scenarios, our expert panel will address how to manage stressed clients, difficult clients, and challenging court and other situations.

Registrants are invited to submit scenarios and questions by 31 October to cpd@thelawassociation.nz.
